New Scaling Laws for Pinning Force Density in Superconductors

چکیده

Since the report by Fietz and Webb (Phys. Rev.1968, 178, 657–667), who considered pinning force density, Fp→=Jc→×B→ (where Jc is critical current density B applied magnetic flux density), in isotropic superconductors as a unique function of reduced field, BBc2 Bc2 upper field), Fp→ has been scaled based on ratio, for which there widely used Kramer–Dew–Hughes scaling law Fp→B=Fp,maxBBc2p1−BBc2q, where Fp,max, Bc2, p, q are free-fitting parameters. To describe Fp→B high-temperature superconductors, modified (a) an assumption angular dependence all parameters (b) replacement irreversibility Birr. Here, we note that also thus, Fp→Jc should exist. In attempt to reveal this law, full Fp→B,Jc reported three distinctive characteristic ranges BBc2,JcJcsf Jcsf self-field density) can be splatted. Several new laws were proposed MgB2, NdFeAs(O,F), REBCO, (La,Y)H10, YH6. The in-field performance at low moderate fields, primary niche these superconducting wires tapes cables, fault limiters, transformers.

Pinning of dynamic spin-density-wave fluctuations in cuprate superconductors

We present a theory of the pinning of dynamic spin-density-wave ~SDW! fluctuations in a d-wave superconductor by local imperfections that preserve spin-rotation invariance, such as impurities or vortex cores. The pinning leads to static spatial modulations in spin-singlet observables, while the SDW correlations remain dynamic: these are the ‘‘Friedel oscillations’’ of a spin-gap antiferromagnet...

Scaling Laws for Density Correlations and Fluctuations in Multiparticle Dynamics

Experimental data are presented on particle correlations and uctuations in various high-energy multiparticle collisions, with special emphasis on evidence for scaling-law evolution in small phase-space domains. The notions of intermittency and fractality as related to the above ndings are described. Phenomenological and theoretical work on the subject is reviewed. 1 Dept. of Physics, Universita...

Scaling of the superfluid density in high-temperature superconductors

A scaling relation Nc 4.4 dcTc has been observed in the copper-oxide superconductors, where Nc is the spectral weight associated with the formation of the superconducting condensate s=8Nc, Tc is the critical temperature, and dc is the normal-state dc conductivity close to Tc. This scaling relation is examined within the context of a clean and dirty-limit BCS superconductor. These limits are wel...

Vortex lattice pinning in high-temperature superconductors

Vortex matter in high temperature superconductors has many peculiar properties such as melting of the vortex lattice, creation of new vortex-liquid phases etc. These effects are not seen in conventional superconductors. This is mainly due to the fact that HTc compounds are strongly type two superconductors with Ginzburg-Landau ratio up to ~110 that makes thermal and quantum fluctuations more pr...
